May 24th Features: Lali & The Pops

Born in the backroom of a bowling alley in the Catskills, Lali & the Pops are an amalgamation of old school and nouveau. The Pops are seasoned musicians who have played around the region, country and world. They are a multi-genre five piece band with enthusiasm, heart, and flair. Covering a range of songs from old standards to familiar rock tunes, they are full of surprises and sprinkle in a few originals in each set.

Band Members:

Lisa Light

was enslaved by the tendrils of classical violin at the tender age of 5. She founded and continues to record and perform for the SF Bay area synthpop band, The Lovemakers, as well as solo project, El Elle, as songwriter, producer, and mastermind of all things performative, whether in the Catskills or not!

Jim Rauter

plays guitar and harmonica with unusually robust enthusiasm. He is a radio host at WIOX Roxbury and WDST Radio Woodstock with a mellifluous voice reminding listeners that good music surrounds us all.

Growing up in Woodstock NY during a pivotal time in the evolution of rock and folk music, George Quinn absorbed a lot and went on to play with many bands from there and toured the US and Europe.  More recently he’s put out CDs of his and other artists from the Catskill region as well as playing live shows in the area.

Jeff Entin

plays lead guitar like no other. He is often found gigging around the catskills or in his home studio creating masterful tracks.

Alexandra Martin

aka Lali is a raw and real singer with no professional training but with a pure love for performing. More of a farmer and barefoot dancer, Alexandra has found her way to the band after years of dreaming it all up. She brings big energy to the mic!
